Two-Factor Authentication - 2FA

Base-B in order to continuously improve our platform, always keeping an eye on Information Security and with the aim of bringing more security to users of the platform, we have implemented TWO-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION .

What is TWO-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION and how does it work?

Two-step authentication is an additional security measure that can be enabled on online accounts. Also called 2FA (two-factor authentication), this function adds a second confirmation of the user's identity during login, preventing access to accounts even if the password has been compromised.

The main purpose of this authentication is to make it more difficult to gain unauthorized access to the account. Even if the password is hacked or the phone stolen, it is unlikely that another user will be able to access your accounts, as they won't have the second verification factor. This feature is well known and used in some systems such as Gmail, Instagram, Facebook, Whatsapp and others.

Do you have any recommended TWO-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION apps?

We recommend the Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator app, although there are several apps that can be used for login authentication.

These apps are free and available for Android and iOS in the official Play Store and Apple Store.

More information about the apps can be found at the links below:

First access after activating the double factor

On your first access after activating the double factor, after entering your e-mail address and password, the following page will ask you for the 2FA code.

Then open the authentication application and enter the code generated for the login.

Access after enabling the two-factor

From now on, every time you access the site with your username and password, you will always be asked for the authentication code from the application you activated in the previous step. This way your access will always take place in two stages.
